Courses

Basic Life Support Course (BLS)

The AHA BLS certification course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

This BLS class covers Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) for adults, children and infants. According to the National Safety Council’s statistics, FBAO is the fourth leading cause of death in all age groups. Emphasizing key points and explaining the evaluation and treatment of complete and partial foreign body airway obstruction will properly equip the rescuer to intervene and save a life.

This course reflects the science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). Upon the completion of the BLS training course, a 2-year certificate or BLS eCard will be awarded, which can be printed or saved as a digital file.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course (ACLS)

The AHA ACLS class is an advanced course that highlights the importance of team dynamics, communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology.

This ACLS class was originally established in 1974 and has been regularly updated by the American Heart Association Guidelines and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) for the sole purpose of ensuring the ACLS healthcare professional possess the skills and knowledge to support patients in various life-threatening events.

We offer this course in two formats, ACLS HeartCode Online class or the instructor led in-person training. Regardless of the format chosen, both these options offer quality lifesaving education. After completing the ACLS online course, an in-person skills verification session must be scheduled and completed with an AHA course instructor conducted at our location.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course (PALS)

The AHA PALS course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills.

We offer this course in two formats, PALS HeartCode Online class or the instructor-led training. Regardless of the format chosen, both these options offer quality lifesaving education. After completing the PALS online course an in-person skills verification session must be scheduled and completed with an AHA course instructor conducted at our location.

Both options include a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases and the written examination, a 2-year certificate or PALS eCard will be awarded which can be printed or saved as a digital file.

EKG/ECG & Pharmacology Course (EKG)

Our EKG & Pharmacology class is a classroom-based, instructor-led course designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacology knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies.

This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, as well as others who require this specialized knowledge for their job. It is an ideal solution for healthcare providers who are preparing to take ACLS or PALS, however, can also be used by anyone needing to learn ECG recognition skills and/or pharmacology.

This EKG class emphasis rule memorization for rapid identification of irregular rhythms, electrical and pharmacological interventions. Upon completing the ECG course, Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will be awarded.

HEARTSAVER®

Our Heartsaver program comes with a variety of options. Heartsaver CPR AED class, the Heartsaver First Aid class, or the combined Heartsaver CPR AED First Aid class package for adults and children. The CPR AED online class or the First AID online class are also great options offered on our website through the AHA which fulfill the CPR certification Los Angeles County requirement for the California Teaching Credential.

Once registration for the online option is complete, we will email an eCode for the course chosen along with steps for completion. The CPR AED First Aid class is recommended for Teachers, Fitness Trainers, and Daycare Workers. The CPR AED class is recommended for Security Guards, Industrial Workers, Electricians, Plumbers, Welders, and anyone needing the basic First Aid CPR AED certification.

Our Heartsaver Pediatric CPR AED First Aid class meets the requirements for California Title 22 and EMSA for Child Care Providers and is recommended for Preschools, Daycare, Child Care Workers, Parents, and Babysitters.

Our

Testimonials

Elissa W. RN, BSN

{Thank you Premier Cardiac Education for coming to us and taking the time to stay past the class to answer our questions. All the supplementary materials were excellent, the ACLS and heart block algorithms are truly life savers. I am happy to say all our staff wear it on their badge. Thank you !!

Raymond R. RN

{They have a clean facility, new equipment, manikins and adjuncts. Skills were actually fun. The course itself has a lot of info but it was broken down easy. They comply with covid regulations and have hand sanitizer on each table which I found very helpful.

Akop P. RT

{My BLS course was short and sweet. What I appreciate about PCE is they offered masks and had hand sanitizer at every table. Also before and after every skill my instructor asked us to “pump in and out” it put me as ease and showed they practice good hygiene. I definitely would come back again and would refer Premier Cardiac Education to my friends and co-workers.

Philip A. MD

{I did my PALS and BLS combo here. I wanted to be in and out but surprisingly I learned something. I’ve been taking AHA courses for 20+ years, and this has been one of the most enjoyable and informative times. The delivery of the information was straight to the point. The stories referenced were pertaining to the material. Everything George said was in relation to the course, no war, hero or exaggerated stories. Nothing was watered down and you get the sense that he knows what he’s talking about. Highly recommend!

Mariam K. DDS

{We wanted a private course conducted in our location. PCE office people were easy to communicate with, course material/information was provided as well as books.
My staff absolutely love and appreciated George and Jessica, who were very professional and efficient. Their equipment is new and the manikins actually tell you if you’re not pressing deep or fast enough. Thank you for a fun and educational course.

Kim H. RN, BSN

{Coming out of nursing school I must’ve memorized tons of acronyms which I mostly forgot. I was referred to taking the EKG & Pharmacology course with George. I can comfortably say I’m no longer lost when my doc asks EKG questions. The course wasn’t intended for 12 lead interpretations but George stayed with me after class and literally answered ALL my questions. I never felt rushed or judged for not knowing. He wants you to learn and finds ways to help you understand.
Thank you so much.
